MTU hosts a variety of IM sports throughout the year ranging from rifle tournaments to softball to waterpolo. Each sport has its own season and is divided into Female, Male and Co-Ed leagues. This is a great opportunity to get away from your books, hang out with friends and enjoy some physical activity. At the end of each season, the leagues have Finals and an IM Champion team crowned. First place teams receive t-shirts, and second place teams receive IM cups (which in some cases are more sacred than the t-shirts). Special awards are given at the end of the year for female and male IM Athletes of the Year. If you’re interested in adding a little more fun to your semester, check out the website and look for announcements of upcoming sports in the SDC, on table tents and on residence hall bulletin boards.
