About Michigan Tech Michigan Tech is a world renowned University with many points of pride: In terms of enrollment, Michigan Tech is ranked 5th in Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, as well as 12th in Geological and Mining Engineering. In terms of undergraduate degrees, Michigan Tech ranks 1st in Environmental Engineering, 6th in Geological and Mining Engineering, and 7th in Mechanical Engineering. Michigan Tech is one of the largest degree-granting programs in Scientific and Technical Writing in the nation.

The population of Michigan Tech is diverse, with over 70 countries represented on campus. Located in the beautiful Keweenaw Peninsula, Michigan Tech provides many other non-academic opportunities, including recreation, student involvement and cultural activities.
